Price Book: How to use Price Book like a Pro? (Tips & Hacks)


Price Book is a tool that helping you become a smart shopper, let your shopping experience going smoothly and also let you manage your home inventory well. 

Many users feedback that Price Book has helped them save money and also manage their inventory wisely. However, we found that some of the users didn’t figure out how to use the app in a more functional way or some of them didn’t even know there has such hidden feature in the app.

Therefore, here comes the tips & hacks of using the Price Book. Hopefully, this can assisting you to use the app more efficiently and smartly.

Barcode :

1. Use Barcode Scanner to quickly check the item’s previous price history.

2. Use Barcode Scanner to add a new item quickly.

Item List :

1. Click on the center part of record to view and edit an item’s record.

2. Click the item image on the Item List to enter enlarge view mode, double click to zoom in or zoom out.

3. Price Display of the item on the Item List Page can be changed on the top right “More” icon > More Setting Page > Others > Price Display (You can select which price display option you are prefer to show – Lowest Price of the Item or Latest Price of the Item)

4. Click the “Love” Icon to pin your favorite item on top of Item List.

5. You can view the Item List according to your preferences by using the smart sorting system. (Sorting by Item’s Name, Item’s category, Store Name & Item’s info)

6. System will auto remember the last sorting that you choose in the Item List.

7. Multiple select or select all items and share your Item List to your friend and family by using airdrop, email, Whatsapp…

Item Record Page :

1.  You can have customized item category. Go More Setting Page > Category > Add your custom category.

2. You can add the item into the Inventory List at Item’s Record Page. If stock quantities =>0, the item will be added into Inventory List.

3. Notes area at the Item’s Record Page can be used to record some info about the item such as mention item as value pack packaging.

4. Additional Info field can be used to record the specifications of the item such as colors, flavor and others. (This info will be shown in the Item List when you choose to sorting list by Info)

5. Add Price Tips:

1 box of 10 cans 300ml/oz drinks priced at $ 30.
Value to enter,
Price: 30, Quantity Per Package: 10, Unit Value: 300, Unit: ml/oz

6. Store Name Entry at the Add Price Page can preset. Go to More Setting Page > Store > Add your frequent use Store Name or you can have auto save store name feature by upgrade to Pro Version.

7. At Add Price Page, after you entering all the price and unit value, system will auto calculate the unit price for the item and also auto price compare with the previous best price of the item & show you the compare result.

8. At Item’s Record Page, click “Save” to save all the info & price update of the item. Click “Remove” to delete the Item’s record. Once remove done, the item record can’t be recovered.

9. When you adding a new price for an item, system will auto fill the info with the best price record to save your time.

Shopping List :

1. Click on the center part of record to view and edit an item’s record.

2. Click on item’s image at the Shopping List Page to mark the item and mass select the item. Marked item will be added into the Inventory List with the shopping quantity and the item will be removed from the Shopping List when save. (Item marked as bought will be auto added into the Inventory List with the quantity bought which can save your time).

3. You can edit the Item’s Shopping Quantity. If Shopping Qty is set as <= 0, the item will be removed from the shopping list when save. If Shopping Qty is set as > 0 , the item will stay in the List.

4. You can toggle the info between quantity & price by clicking the “Shopping Qty” label.

6. You can view the Estimate Total Price at the bottom of Shopping List to let you estimate your shopping spending and plan your shopping smartly.

Inventory List :

1. Click on the center part of record to view and edit an item’s record.

2. Click on the image to mass select the items to remove from Inventory List when save. The removed item’s stock quantity will be set to Nil.

3. You can edit the Item’s Stock Quantity. If Stock Qty is set as nil, the item will be removed from the Inventory List when save. If Stock Qty is set as 0 means that the Item is currently no stock but it will stay on the Inventory List in order to remind you to restock.

4. “Reset Button” used to reset the Stock Quantity of the item to the initial quantity of your last save. For example, you have a few items in the Inventory List and you want to decrease the stock quantity of some items to update their stock status but you have set it wrong, so reset is used in order to undo the changes you have made as long as you do not save the records yet.

5. You can toggle the info between quantity, price & expired date by clicking the “Stock Qty” label.
